Well'Arte is a non-profit organization founded in March 2021. Theatre and other forms of entertainment have always been around us for ages. Each production offers a unique experience, as we laugh, cry, or spend anxious moments along with the characters traveling on an emotional roller coaster. Theatre impacts our mental state in many ways for both the participants and the audience acting as a nurturing mechanism to shape our mental well being.
Our mission is to spread inclusive theatre among many generations. We aspire to accomplish this by taking theatre to the audience through live productions and bringing audience to theater through online streaming platforms. We will be tailoring our productions to bring the most optimal experience by carefully tweaking key aspects including duration, audio, video and interactive elements. Our goal is to have nobody left behind in experiencing theatre. We want to bring people and theater together in every way possible. We are glad to have support from several organizations Free Drama and Drama Notebook to enable us to access a steady stream of scripts and other content to keep our engines running.
You can contribute to our mission in multiple ways. You can be an audience, help create a production or donate money to our cause. All money generated by Well'Arte will be donated towards funding the productions and donating towards charitable causes.
Founder & President - Arushi Maheshwar
Arushi has been pursuing theatre since 6th grade. She is passionate about theatre and has participated in numerous plays which span school productions and professional theater productions. Besides performing on stage, she has worn several hats in technical theatre and production roles. She is actively investigating the intersection of science and creative arts with a desire to use theatre & film as a medium to help improve mental well-being of people from all walks of life. She plans to accomplish it through creating active engagement in theatre for all, using it as a therapeutic medium for both participants and audience. In the future, she wants to continue to blend the performing arts and science in all her pursuits to foster a more inclusive and empathetic society for all. Arushi is currently a freshman attending the University of California, Berkeley.
VP of Marketing - Pranay Alleni
Pranay has been actively pursuing theater since his elementary school years. He has a huge passion for filmmaking, screenwriting and directing and channels the experiences to improve his skills in theater. He won the best director award in his school's play festival. He was the chief editor of his school play that was presented through an online streaming platform due to Covid restrictions. He wants to use the the performing arts as a tool to help others in need prompting him to join forces with Well'Arte. He currently serves as the organization's Vice President of Marketing. Pranay is currently a rising senior at California High School in San Ramon, California.
